Tawun, Sekotong, West Lombok Southwest is getting more famous each year. The road is getting much away better. I could see a number of hotels and villas were on construction. My mind headed me to the future. I could see the picture of my island in the next ten years. Will people be happier with the changes? This thought was  distracted as a friend of mine pointed the place that we were up to. Under the blue sunny sky, the sand were shining, revealed its white glitter. The degradation was obviously seen from the darkest blue to the turquoise. I could look through the crystal clear water and sea the beautiful life underneath. The beach is shaped in banana line on a headland. In front, a bulge of Gili Genting which around 100 meters high looked brown with its shaggy tall bushes. It was high tide but the sea between the beach and Gili Genting was still quite shallo...

Pelangan, Sekotong, West Lombok          First Saturday of September 2014 I drove my bike to the southwest coast, passed by Lembar harbor. It took me more than one and half hour from Mataram since I stopped couple times to find fisherman that could take me to do my island hoping. To reach southwest coast, I prefer to drive motorbike. “I am kind into nature because I can feel God in it, every time I am on the peak and see what lies beneath me; It is echoing that I need to respect it not only proud of myself–human—as the biggest beneficiary” The Jeep couldn’t take us nearer to the top. My friends and I went out quickly as the driver opened me the door. My hands are shivering. I took out my gloves and put it on. It was below 10 degrees Celsius. We had to walk faster to keep our body warm as trying to manage our space among the crowd. As we walked higher, some people talked laud offering thick jacket to rent. I still could see the haze when they were talking. In both sides of the road, I didn’t see the two long rows jeeps anymore. It is cut by the shops and small restaurants. Around 10 minutes walk. We stood in front of a gate which is written “Landscape View Point” on it. We didn’t directly enter it. We went to the Gazebo where a bunch of people doing their sholat that is located about few meters from the entr...
