Crane Robot Show

Sentosa Island, Singapore

I had to walk to the highest point of a mall to get to a station that would take me to Sentosa island. Stood in a line for quite while, staffed my self in the sky train, it was very crowded since this island is one of the most famous places in Singapore.  I was trying to keep my balance, held the metal holder tightly while my eyes looking through the window, admired the sophisticated view outside. Some buildings were aesthetically designed.  Some of them remind me of Gaudi’s works. A few steps from me Ai Lin was standing steadily on her feet without any holder. She is always balance. A few stops passed, we get off in the Imbiah Station.

So many things can be enjoyed in this island even you don’t need to be worried if you have very tight budget. This island offers some free things such as beaches, live music, colored water show, big Merlion, Museum, Casino and Crane Dance. In Singapore, tourist doesn’t need to pay any entrance fee if he wants to gamble in the Casino but Singaporean does. Singaporean has to pay $20 to get into it. I was a bit upset; I couldn’t enter the Casino because I forgot my passport. However, I got a golden opportunity to watch a very sophisticated show—Crane Robot Show.

This 20 minutes show started about 9 p.m. There were no host but I could hear man and woman spoke Malay and English in turn from somewhere. I was thinking it must be sound from computer. It’s very sophisticated indeed. Everyone was quiet, absorbed as the couple Crane tall Robot got up. They are about more than 20 meter height. They were dancing on the stage that is located on the sea, accompanied by instrumental music, surrounded by the lights.  In front of hundreds visitor, the male crane robot was trying to seduce the male robot. He was trying to proof his love. On their chest, two huge screens stick on. Those screens show their feeling. It was a very romantic show!!! Ocean thanks to Ai Lin for taking me to this island.
